How to Remove Stretch Marks After Pregnancy

What are Stretch Marks?
Stretch marks are well known by every woman. Especially, after delivery, most of the women worry about their stretch marks on the areas like breast, hips, arms, abdomen, tummy, and thighs. These stretch marks develop on the skin where it has been stretched/expanded during pregnancy or due to obesity.
Can we Get Rid of Stretch Marks Completely?
It is not possible to get rid of the stretch marks completely, but with proper care, we can minimize the effect and they become lighter with passing time.
1. Oils For Treatment:
Massaging your skin with essential oils makes your skin smooth and reduces stretch marks. Some of the widely used oils include olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, almond oil, castor oil, and vitamin E oil, etc.
Take a few drops of oil in your hand and gently massage it on the area that is occupied by stretch marks and let it remain for 30 min, then take a bath after the massage.
Repeat the process with your favorite oil and check the results after 1 month.
Note: It is a time taking process but really helpful treatment at home and cost-effective.
Use a pure aloe vera gel, apply it directly on the skin and leave for 15 min later wash it with lukewarm water for better results. Continue the same regularly.
3. Egg Albumin/Egg White:
Take the 2 egg whites, mix them with a fork and apply them on the affected area like a thick paste by using a make-up brush. Now, let it dry, then rinse off with cold water. After this, apply olive oil/coconut oil for moisturization.
Repeat the same every day, for at least for 2 weeks – it improves skin tone and the marks fade away soon.
Honey has antiseptic properties and this does miracles (also reduces itching).
Take honey in a cloth and spread it across it, now place the cloth upon the area that needs to be treated and let it remain until it dry, wash the area once it is dry.
Potatoes help to improve skin texture. Therefore, take the potato and cut it into 2 pieces, apply it on the stretch marks area. Repeat the same every day and one can expect the result after 1 month.
6. Turmeric and Sandalwood Mixture:
Take turmeric powder and sandalwood paste (by rubbing the sandalwood stick with water). Mix the turmeric and sandalwood paste together. Directly apply this mixture on the stretch marks area, let it remain on the skin until it gets dried. Then rinse off with water. Repeat the procedure every day for 6 months without fail until you feel the improvement.
Rub fresh lemon juice on the affected area and leave it for about 10 minutes, this is how the solution penetrates the skin so that the acidic property of the lemon helps in healing the stretch marks. Rinse off with water. Apply daily for better results.
To summarize, the above remedies may not permanently remove your scars but definitely help you to minimize your stretch marks and keep your affected area away from itching and makes it smooth and supple
