Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Clindamycin is an antibiotic that involves in inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 30S ribosomes, eventually killing the bacteria. Clotrimazole powder changes the permeability of the cell wall of the fungal cells and prevents their growth. It binds to the phospholipids of the membrane and inhibits particular processes that are essential for the development of the cell membrane. This results in the death of cells due to the loss of intracellular sections.
