Enzoflam Tablet
Uses and Benefits

Uses and Benefits

Enzoflam Tablet is most commonly used in the treatment of mild to moderate pains such as muscleaches, headache, toothache, arthritis, backache, menstrual cramps, sprains, strains, fever, and post-immunization pyrexia. It also treats inflammation and oedema, etc. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.

The active ingredients of Enzoflam Tablet are Diclofenac 50mg, Paracetamol 325mg and Serratiopeptidase 15mg.

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Diclofenac acts by inhibiting the prostaglandin synthesis. Prostaglandins are basically compounds that get produced in huge numbers, as a response to pain, injury or infection. The large production of prostaglandins causes inflammation associated with redness, swelling, pain and fever. Thus by inhibiting their synthesis, Diclofenac treats inflammation and reduces pain.

Paracetamol (also known as. Acetaminophen) primarily acts as an analgesic and antipyretic agent. Further, it also has anti-inflammatory properties to a certain extent. The Paracetamol produces an analgesic effect by increasing pain threshold and antipyresis by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.

Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme obtained from silkworm. It is a drug that helps to heal wounds quickly. It does so, by thinning the fluids formed during injury and allowing the drainage of this fluid conveniently. It also dissolves the fibrin and other dead or damaged tissue without harming the living tissue.
