Montair LC KID Syrup 60ml is generally prescribed to treat seasonal allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria. It is also used to treat chronic asthma, allergic rhinitis, prophylaxis of exercise-induced asthma. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredients of Montair LC KID Syrup 60ml are Montelukast 4mg/5ml and Levocetirizine 2.5mg.
Montelukast is a leukotriene inhibitor. Leukotrienes are the chemicals in our body which are responsible for the allergies, swelling of lungs, tightening of the muscles around airways results in asthma. Therefore, by blocking leukotrines, helps in reducing allergic reactions and asthma.
Levocetrizine acts by blocking the histamine. Histamine gets produced in the body during allergic reactions. Thus, by blocking them, Levocetrizine reduces allergic reactions.

Montek LC Syrup 60ml is meant for oral administration. Shake the Montair LC KID Syrup 60ml bottle well before administration.
Dosage can be administered with the cap that comes along with the container.
Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
Take Montair LC KID Syrup 60ml with or without food. Dosage as suggested by your doctor or follow the instructions given on the prescription.
Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience any one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

Caution advised among people with hepatic problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of Montair LC KID Syrup 60ml.
May be used during pregnancy – risk of fetal harm not expected based on limited human data. However, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
May used during lactation – risk of infant harm not expected based on limited human data. However, no human data available to evaluate effects on milk production.
Exercise caution when used with other medication. Therefore, inform your doctor about your current list of medication which you start or stop.
Category B: Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
This medication is an antihistamine, prescribed for allergic conditions.
It blocks histamine action, which reduces allergy symptoms.
It comes as a tablet, syrup to take by mouth with or without food. Adult: Oral- 2.5-5 mgday in the evening. Max: 5 mgday.
Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Dry mouth. Good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. See a dentist often.
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.
Do not give to a child who has kidney disease. If you have an allergy to levocetirizine, cetirizine, or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have very bad kidney disease. If you are breast-feeding.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Feeling very tired or weak. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
