Pregabawyn M 75MG capsule is anti-epileptic medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain, depression, postherpetic neuralgia, anxiety disorders, certain type of seizures, epilepsy, fibromyalgia (severe muscle pain and tenderness with altered sleep cycles and mood) and chronic pain caused by nerve damage due to spinal cord injury or diabetes. The capsule helps many people to recover from depression by improving their mood, relieving from nerve pain and improve nerve conduction. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

Pregabalin, an analogue of neurotransmitter GABA, works by reducing the levels of chemical transmitters (glutamate, dopamine) and reduces pain by modulating calcium channel activity of nerve cells, protects nerve fibres and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells, together relieving neuropathic pain. Mecobalamin strengthens our nervous system and plays a key part in DNA synthesis and maturation.

How to Use

How to Use

Take Pregabawyn M 75MG capsule as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the capsule.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
The capsule can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it could be taken with food. Take the capsule at the same time as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body preferably in the evening.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

Overdosage

Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the capsule, promptly seek medical attention. Kidney:

Liver:

Pregnancy:

Pregabawyn M 75MG capsule might be risky to use during pregnancy as it is known to cause harm to the fetus. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

Lactation:

The medicine is likely unsafe to use for nursing mothers. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass into the breastmilk and harm the infant. Consult your doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness, breathing problems or difficulty in breast feeding.

Alcohol:

Driving:

Grape fruit juice or grape fruit containing foods have shown to scale back the effect of this capsule.

Drug Interactions:

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines which includes over-the-counter drugs, herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription. Alert your doctor if you are taking Pregabawyn M 75MG capsule with ACE inhibitors, opiates (oxycodone), benzodiazepines (lorazepam), barbiturates, buprenorphine, hypoglycaemic agents, azatadine, baclofen

It is used to prevent and treat low vitamin B12. Lack of vitamin B12 may cause anemia and damage to the nerves. It is used to treat diabetic neuropathy and peripheral neuropathy.

How should mecobalamin be used:

Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.

Can I take mecobalamin with other medicines:

Use with neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, cimetidine and cochicine will decrease absorption. Inform doctor about all other drugs you are taking including herbals.

How do I store mecobalamin :

Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
