Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Proton pumps are present on the cells of the stomach lining that help to produce stomach acid. Therefore, as an inhibitor, when omeprazole targets proton pumps, lesser stomach acid is produced thus reducing refluxes.

Domperidone possesses anti-emetic properties which help reduce vomiting and vomiting sensation; and also treats gastric problems to an extent.
