Afenak Plus Tab is a combination of medicines used to relieve fevers, pain and swelling associated with post-operative wounds, muscle pains, joint pains and postoperative pain in ailments like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis. Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Aceclofenac in Afenak Plus Tab works by blocking the effect of natural substances called cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes which help to make other pain and inflammation causing chemicals in the body, called prostaglandins. Afenak Plus Tab has paracetamol which works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain and also reduces a high body temperature by affecting the chemical messengers in an area of the brain that regulates it.

How to Use

Afenak Plus Tab can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. The dose and duration should be followed as prescribed by your doctor. It is best to take this medicine at a fixed time. It is important that this medicine should not be taken more than the recommended dose.
Swallow it whole with water, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip. Do not try to break/crush/chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take Afenak Plus Tab as soon as you remember but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take it at the next scheduled time. Do not take two doses at the same time.
Afenak Plus Tab should be taken only by the person for whom it has been recommended by a qualified physician.

Inform your doctor is you suffer from history of peptic ulceration, cerebrovascular bleeding, ulcerative colitis, crohns disease, systemic lupus erythmatosus, porphyria, haematopoietic or coagulation disorders. The dose will be adjusted in people with hepatic, renal or cardiac function impairment.
