      Ajaduo 25/5Mg tablet is a combination oral anti-diabetic medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is also used to treat heart failure by increasing the removal of sodium by your kidneys. It is used in certain people to lower the risk of death and having go to the hospital because of heart failure. Controlling high blood sugar level helps in preventing kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems and loss of limbs is lowered. This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. However, there may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.

      Ajaduo 25/5Mg tablet works by blocking sodium glucose co-transporter protein in the kidneys which helps in eliminating blood glucose through urine thereby controlling blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetic patients. Linagliptin works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones (glucagon) that raise blood glucose levels thereby reducing the fasting and post-meal sugar levels.

      How to Use

      Take Ajaduo 25/5Mg tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
      Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
      The tablet should be taken with food, immediately or during breakfast or the first main meal of the day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
      Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested. This medicine is not recommended for children (below 18 years) and for older adults (over 75 of age).

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking Ajaduo 25/5Mg tablet more than the prescribed dosage. There were no reports of overdose during the clinical development program for this medicine. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly ask for medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary in individuals, you may experience the following signs or symptoms:

      Liver:

      Caution is advised among people with hepatic problems. Dose adjustments of the medicine may be needed. If you have any liver related problems, it is highly recommended that you consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine.

      Pregnancy:

      Ajaduo 25/5Mg tablet should be used with caution during pregnancy. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

      Lactation:

      This medicine is not considered safe to use in nursing mothers unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Since the effect of the medicine on infants is not clearly established, we recommend that you to consult your doctor before consuming the tablet.

      Alcohol:

      Consumption of alcohol with this medicine is not recommended as it increases side effects of the medicine. If found any symptoms of extreme drowsiness, vomiting, confusion, report to your doctor immediately.
