Amiodar 200Mg tablet contain Amiodarone which belongs to anti-arrhythmic group of medicines. It is used to treat uneven heartbeats, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and other types of fast or uneven heartbeats such as atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation. Arrhythmia is a problem with the rhythm or rate of the heartbeat, where the heart can beat too slow (bradycardia), too fast (tachycardia) or with an irregular rhythm. This medicine is prescribed in patients who are not responding to other treatments or when other treatments cannot be tolerated. However, the uses mentioned are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

Take Amiodar 200Mg tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
The tablet can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it could be taken with meals. The tablet is usually taken not more than once a day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.
