Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Cyclosporine works by decreasing the body’s immune system activity and helps in preventing the rejection of transplanted organs. It inhibits purine synthesis which is needed to produce DNA and RNA. DNA and RNA production are decreased resulting in less synthesis of white blood cells, thereby causing immunosuppression.
