Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Chlorpheniramine Maleate basically tames the allergy symptoms by attaching to histamine receptors. Histamines are responsible for allergic and inflammatory reactions. Here, Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks the action of the endogenous histamine, by reducing the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.

Codeine phosphate acts similar to morphine, this drug binds to the receptors such as opioid receptors which are responsible for causing the pain through the body and brain, therefore, it stops the transmitting of pain signals throughout the body.
