Ascoril LS Drops 15ml are used in the treatment of cough, common cold, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and asthma in neonates and infants. This drops also relieves one from congestion caused by common cold, infections, and other allergies. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctors discretion.
The active ingredients of Ascoril LS Drops 15ml are Ambroxol 7.5mg, Levosalbutamol 0.25mg, and Guaifenesin 12.5mg.
Ambroxol stimulates the release of some surfactants which come with an anti-glue factor. This factor helps to reduce the mucus sticking to the bronchial wall and also gives protection against infections.
Levosalbutamol helps in relaxing the muscles In airways and also improves the airflow from the lungs in both the directions.
Guaifenesin acts on the respiratory tract secretions by reducing their viscosity or loosen the mucus to expel out.

Ascoril LS Drops 15ml are meant for oral administration. Shake the bottle well before administration. Dosage can be administered with the cap that comes along with the container.
Avoid missing or forgetting your dose. If you do, give it to your infant as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for their next dose, skip it and give it according to their normal schedule. Do not give two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your baby’s health.
Dosage as recommended by your doctor or follow the instructions given on the prescription.
Avoid giving more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, look for any new symptoms. If you observe any, promptly seek medical advice or report it to the nearby poison control center.
Give the drops only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:
