The Ascoril Plus Tablet is a combination of 3 drugs. It is used as an expectorant and mucolytic. This medicine is also used to relieve one from common cold, cough, chest tightness, influenza, and other respiratory-related infections. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctors discretion.
The active ingredients of Ascoril Plus Tablet are Guaifenesin 100mg, Terbutaline 2.5mg, and Bromhexine 8mg.
Guaifenesin helps to reduce the viscosity of the thickened mucus.
Terbutaline works by relaxing the muscles and opens the airways thus how relieves from chest tightness and shortness of breath.
Bromhexine helps in making the phlegm or mucus more thinner and less viscous and expels out the mucus.

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Swallow Ascoril Plus Tablet whole, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip. Do not break/cut/chew the Ascoril Plus tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Do swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
Take the tablet with or without food.

Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

Terbutaline: Do not take this drug during pregnancy to prevent premature labor.
Bromhexine: Do not take this drug during pregnancy because there are no controlled studies on pregnant women to prove that this drug is safe.
Guaifenesin: Caution advised during pregnancy – no human data available to evaluate effects on milk production.
Terbutaline: Do not take this medicine without the advice of a doctor – risk of infant harm not expected based on drug properties and insufficient human data and no data available to evaluate effects on milk production.
Bromhexine: Do not take this medicine unless until suggested by a doctor because this drug may be excreted through breast milk and can harm a breastfeeding infant.

Rhinorrhoea, lacrimation, gastric irritation and hypersensitivity.
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. - If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. - Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. - Do not change the dose or stop this drug. - Talk with the doctor.
If you have an allergy to bimatoprost or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Sudden change in eyesight, eye pain, or irritation. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Avoid Alcohol
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
