Asthalin Respules 2.5ml helps in symptomatic relief and prevention of bronchospasm (narrowed bronchi and involuntary contraction of bronchial smooth muscle) caused due to asthma, chronic bronchitis, and reversible obstructive airway disease. It also treats exercise-induced bronchospasm and other factors known to induce bronchospasm. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredient of Asthalin Respules 2.5ml is Salbutamol 2.5mg.
Salbutamol is a medication that helps in opening up the medium and large airways in the lungs. It is a type of short-acting beta-2 agonist that acts by relaxing muscles in the airways and allows easy breathing.

Asthalin Respules 2.5ml is meant to be used with a respirator or a nebulizer. It is used for inhalation purposes only. Do not inject or administer the solution orally.
Take one respule from the strip, twist the cap to open it, and now squeeze the content into the nebulizer chamber. Discard the respule after use.
Use the respule immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not use any leftover medication for the next dose, always use a fresh respule for every dose.
Dosage: for children and adults the dosage is 2.5mg to 5mg up to four times a day or as recommended by the doctor.
For infants: talk to your doctor before using it.
Note: Do not dilute the respule.
Avoid using more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

Safety during pregnancy has not yet been established. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, before consuming this medicine.
Safety during lactation is not known. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are a nursing mother, before consuming this medicine.
Caution advised when used with other drugs. Therefore, inform your doctor about your current list of medication during the treatment (if any).
Category C: Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant the use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
This medication is a short-acting ß2-adrenergic receptor agonist, prescribed for asthma. It relaxes the smooth muscles in the airway, which allows air to flow in and out of the lungs more easily.
It is in a class of medications called bronchodilators and works by relaxing and opening the air passages, calm the muscles in airways, and help the flow of oxygen.
It comes as a tablet, capsule and syrup to take by mouth, on an empty stomach. It also comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider either into the large muscle or under the skin.
Nervousness, shakiness, dizziness, headache, muscle cramps, sudden changes in mood, nosebleed, nausea, increased or decreased appetite, difficulty falling asleep, and pale skin
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis.
Inform your doctor if you have allergy to this drug, if you are pregnant, if you have or ever had an irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, or seizures.
Seek help if you are not able to get the breathing attack under control, experiencing chest pain or pressure or a fast heartbeat, have become very nervous and excitable. Inform your doctor if you notice any rash or if any side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Your doctor may need to change the doses of some of your medications when you take them with this drug. Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Avoid alcohol. - Try to limit your intake of caffeine-containing drinks such as coffee, tea and certain soft drinks. This is because caffeine can increase some of the side effects of Salbutamol.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
