Asthalin Expectorant Plus Syrup 100ml is used to treat cough, common cold, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and asthma. It also relieves one from congestion caused by common cold, infections, and allergies. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredients of Asthalin Expectorant Plus Syrup 100ml are Ambroxol 15mg, Guaifenesin 50mg, and Levosalbutamol 0.5mg/5ml.
Ambroxol stimulates the release of some surfactants which have anti-glue factors that help to reduce the stickiness of mucus to the bronchial wall. Along with this, this drug also protects against infections.
Guaifenesin acts on the respiratory tract secretions by reducing their viscosity or loosen the mucus to expel it out.
Levosalbutamol helps in relaxing the muscles in airways of the lungs and thus improving the airflow in the lungs in both directions.

Asthalin Expectorant Plus Syrup 100ml is meant for oral administration. Shake the bottle well before consuming. Dosage can be administered with the cap that comes along with the container.
Avoid missing a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Do not consume two doses at the same time which may be dangerous to your health.
Asthalin AX Syrup may be taken either with or without food.
Dosage as suggested by your doctor or follow the instructions given on the prescription.
Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, look for any new symptoms. If you observe any, promptly seek medical advice or report it to the nearby poison control center.

It is a mucolytic and mucokinetic agent. Makes the sputum thinner and less viscous and therefore more easily removed by coughing.
