      Bifilac Sachet 0.5gm is used to make the gut flora normal. It is treats diarrhea caused due to the consumption of antibiotics. Bifilac Sachet 0.5gm is also used to treat Vitamin B deficiency. However, the uses mentioned here not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.



      The active ingredient of Bifilac Sachet 0.5gm is Lactobacillus 50 million spores.

      How to Use

      Do not exceed the dosage prescribed by your doctor. Contents of the sachet may be administered through mouth or can be mixed with 10-15ml of lukewarm water, which must be consumed immediately.

      Avoid missing a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule.

      Bifilac may be taken three times a day to get the highest efficacy or take it as advised by your doctor.
      It is good to take the sachet after a meal.


      Avoid using more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, look for any new or abnormal symptoms. If you observe any, promptly seek medical advice or report it to the nearby poison control center.

      Caution always adviced when used with other medicines. Specially inform your doctor, if you are on antibiotics, Biotin, Barbiturates, Chlorpromazine, Carbamazepine, Atropine, and Ciprofloxacin during the treatment.

      It is used to treat loose stools (diarrhea). It is used to ease too much gas in the stomach.

      How does lactobacillus work:

      Lactobacillus keeps the normal balance of bacteria and yeast in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract.

      How should lactobacillus be used:

      Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. Swallow capsule whole. Do not chew, break, or crush. You may sprinkle contents of capsule on soft food or liquid. Do not chew. Chewable tablet: Chew or crush well. Mix crushed tablet with food. Do not swallow it whole.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis.

      If you have an allergy to Lactobacillus or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.

      When do I need to seek medical help

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

      Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
