      Calvaro tablet, a dietary nutritional supplement increases bone strength & mineral content and also reduces the chance of fall & fracture. Calcium is needed by the body for healthy bones, nervous system, muscles and heart. The tablet helps boost immunity, prevent and manage calcium deficiencies. It is prescribed for the treatment of joint pains, osteomalacia, osteoarthritis, rickets, hypophosphatemia (low phosphate levels in blood), hypoparathyroidism (causing low blood calcium). However, the uses of the tablet mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

It regenerates and maintains mechanical properties of the cartilage and provide strength in load bearing bones, thereby improving flexibility in joints. Vitamin D3 works by helping the body to use more of the calcium found in foods and supplements, supports blood vessel walls and forms a base for teeth and bones.

      How to Use

      Take Calvaro tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
      Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
      The tablet can be taken with or without food. For better absorption, take the medicine with meals and avoid intake of large amounts of fibre-rich food. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
      Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested even though the symptoms disappear after the medicine has begun.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. Overdose can lead to hypercalcaemia; extreme hypercalcaemia may lead to coma and death. Irreversible renal damage and soft tissue calcification may occur as a result of prolonged hypercalcaemia in some patients.       Liver:

      Pregnancy:

      Lactation:

      Alcohol:

      Foods that are rich in oxalic acid (e.g., spinach) and phytic acid (e.g., whole cereals) may reduce calcium absorption by formation of insoluble calcium salts.

Alert your doctor if you are taking Calvaro tablet with aspirin, clopidogrel, warfarin, digoxin, levothyroxine, antibiotics (tetracyclines, quinolones), carbamazepine, thiazide diuretics, lithium, verapamil, ceftriaxone, timolol, amlodipine, dolutegravir.
