Camyda 300MG capsule is a lincosamide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, nose, skin, stomach, bones, lungs and intestine. It is used in post-surgical conditions to avoid infections at the site of surgery. The medicine kills or stops the infection causing bacteria from growing. It is ineffective against infections caused by viruses such as cold or flu. This capsule is prescribed for the treatment of community acquired pneumonia, bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections, osteomyelitis (bone infection), joint infections (septic arthritis), tonsilitis, stomach and intestinal infections, bacterial vaginitis (infection caused by overgrowth of bacteria that live inside the vagina). This medicine is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Take Camyda 300MG capsule as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the capsule.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
The capsule can be taken with or without food. Take the capsule at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested even though the symptoms disappear after the medicine has begun. Clindamycin is an antibiotic. It is used to treat certain bacterial infections of the skin, lung, digestive system, bones, joints and genitals.
Clindamycin can also be used to prevent infection if you are undergoing certain dental procedures.
Take Clindamycin exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. Take Clindamycin at regular intervals as instructed. Do not skip any doses. Continue to take it even when you feel better. You must complete the entire course of antibiotic. If you dont, the infection will not clear completely. If you have been given Clindamycin capsules, you may take it with or without food. Swallow it whole with a full glass of water in a sitting or standing position. Clindamycin may cause diarrhoea, nausea and stomach discomfort. These side effects are usually temporary. If you have diarrhoea, drink lots of water to replace the fluids lost. However, if you have severe diarrhoea or diarrhoea with severe stomach cramps or bloody stools, alert your doctor. - If you develop rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes, stop the medicine and inform your doctor quickly. These could be signs of an allergic reaction. - Clindamycin may cause other side effects. Consult your doctor if you have unusual problems while taking this medicine.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule. - DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances. - If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Inform your doctor if you have asthma or significant allergies, kidney or liver disease, or inflammation of the digestive system. - Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. - Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat.Very upset stomach or throwing up. Very loose stools (diarrhea), even after drug is stopped. A fast heartbeat. Not able to eat. Feeling very tired or weak. Very bad belly pain. Dark urine or yellow skin or eyes. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Clindamycin should not be taken with another type of antibiotic called erythromycin. - Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal medicines and medicines that you buy without a prescription.

Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Once you have mixed the powder with water, the syrup can be stored at room temperature not more than 25°C.
