Cartigen Pro tablet is a nutritional supplement indicated for degenerative joints, musculoskeletal disorders, skin aging and brittle nails. The medicine has anti-inflammatory effects that helps in inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, joint pains, osteomalacia, rickets. The tablet increases bone strength & mineral content and also reduces the chance of fall & fracture. It prevents the loss of cartilage, reduces joint swelling and has immune-balancing properties and maintains hair, skin and nails healthy. It also enables protection against infection and help in iron absorption and also stimulates synthesis of collagen in skin. However, the uses of the tablet mentioned here are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

Cartigen Pro tablet contains calcium supplements that regenerates and maintains mechanical properties of the cartilage and provide strength in load bearing bones, thereby improving flexibility in joints. Astaxanthin inhibits bone loss by inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts. Glucosamine prevents the loss of cartilage (soft tissue that cushions the joints). It relieves the pain and improves joint function. Collagen is a major constituent of bone cartilage and loss of collagen leads to osteoarthritis and cartilage damage. Collagen supplementation has significant role in treating and preventing osteoarthritis.

How to Use

How to Use

Take Cartigen Pro tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
The tablet can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it could be taken with food. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested. even though the symptoms disappear after the medicine has begun.

Overdosage

Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. Overdose can lead to hypercalcaemia; extreme hypercalcaemia may lead to coma and death. Irreversible renal damage and soft tissue calcification may occur as a result of prolonged hypercalcaemia in some patients. Kidney:

Liver:

Pregnancy:

Cartigen Pro tablet might be risky to use during pregnancy. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

Lactation:

Use of excessive amounts of this medicine in nursing mothers may result in hypercalcaemia in infants which may lead to supravalvular aortic syndrome, the features of may include retinopathy, mental or growth retardation. Alcohol:

Consumption of alcohol with Cartigen Pro tablet is not recommended as it increases side effects of the medicine. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the tablet, report to your doctor immediately. Driving:

The tablet does not cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you notice any abnormal reactions after taking the medicine, do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

Food:

Foods that are rich in oxalic acid (e.g., spinach) and phytic acid (e.g., whole cereals) may reduce calcium absorption by formation of insoluble calcium salts.

Drug Interactions:

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines which includes over-the-counter drugs, herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription. Alert your doctor if you are taking Cartigen Pro tablet with warfarin (Coumadin), tetracyclines, benzalkonium chloride, proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole, rabeprazole), anti-diabetic medicines, H2 blockers (cimetidine, ranitidine, famotidine), antacids containing aluminium salts, thiazide diuretics decreases urinary excretion of calcium, ibuprofen, diclofenac, indomethacin, meloxicam and other NSAIDs.
