Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Clavullin 625 tablet works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial protective covering or cell wall which is fundamental for the survival of the bacteria. By doing so, the medicine kills the infection causing bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment. Clavulanic acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor) re-establishes the activity of amoxycillin against bacteria resistant to amoxicillin.
