      Clohex ADS mouthwash 200ML is used for maintaining oral hygiene and in treating gingivitis (condition in which the gums become red and swollen), oral thrush (fungal infection in mouth caused due to immune deficiency and use of steroid sprays for asthma), mouth ulcers, denture sores (caused due to continuous wearing of dentures and improper cleaning), reduces cavities and prevents tooth decay and bad breath germs. However, the uses of this mouth wash mentioned here are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

      The active ingredients of Clohex ADS mouthwash 200ML are Chlorhexidine gluconate (0.20% W/V), Sodium fluroide (0.05% W/V) and Zinc chloride (0.09% W/V)

It works by killing the harmful microorganisms that cause tartar, swollen gums and other mouth infections. Sodium chloride decreases cavities prevents tooth decay. Zinc chloride neutralizes the odor caused by bad germs and controls the growth of bad breath bacteria.

      Use Clohex ADS mouthwash as instructed by your doctor. Do not use this mouth wash for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount prescribed even though the symptoms disappear after medicine has begun. Stopping the medication too early can lead to an infection relapse.
      This mouth wash should not be mixed or diluted with any other product.
      Take the mouthwash in the quantity as recommended by your doctor. Spit it out after 30 seconds to 1 minute of swishing. Do not swallow. For maximum effectiveness, avoid drinking, eating for at least 30 minutes after rinsing with water. Avoid getting this mouth wash in contact with open wounds, eyes, nose and mucous membranes.

      This medication is a chemical antiseptic, prescribed for gingivitis, cleansing skin and wound areas. It decreases the amount of bacteria in the mouth.

      How does Chlorhexidine Gluconate work:

      Chlorhexidine gluconate works to harm the bacteria and fight the infection.

      How should Chlorhexidine Gluconate be used:

      As 0.2% solution: Rinse with 10 ml for 1 min 2-3 timesday. It comes as liquid to rinse the affected area as directed by your physician.

      Common side effects of Chlorhexidine Gluconate :

      Oral: Mouth and lip irritation. Using a soft toothbrush or cotton swabs and rinsing the mouth may help. Do not use mouth rinses that have alcohol in them. Bad taste in your mouth. This most often goes back to normal. - Skin: Dryness. Skin irritation.
