What is Xantinol nicotinate for:

It is a vasodilator and enhances blood flow to the peripheral and cerebral tissues. It is a combination of xantinol and niacin.

How does Xantinol nicotinate work:

It belongs to the category of theophylline drugs. Circulation is enhanced by increasing the erythrocyte elasticity, vasodilation and improving cardiac function.

How should Xantinol nicotinate be used:

Usual dose is 300 to 600 mg 3 times daily with meals in adults

Common side effects of Xantinol nicotinate :

Flushing and a sensation of heat.

What do I do if I miss a dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible when you remember it. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.

What precautions should I take when taking Xantinol nicotinate :

Patients with labile blood pressure, peptic ulceration, recent heart attacks, or stroke, and poor kidney function should avoid the use of this drug.
