Concort Injection 40mg is used to treat adrenocortical insufficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, non-suppurative thyroiditis, hypercalcemia of malignancy, adjunctive therapy in rheumatic disorders, systemic lupus erythematosus, acute rheumatic heart disease, inflammatory skin conditions, allergic and inflammatory conditions of the eye, symptomatic sarcoidosis, Loeffler’s syndrome, etc. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredients of Concort Injection 40mg is Triamcinolone Acetonide 40mg.

Concort Injection 40mg Is given by a healthcare provider.
Sterilize the area before taking the shot with an antiseptic swab.
Spread the skin at the site where the injection needs to be given by using your hand.
Gently insert the needle into the area where the shot has to be given.
Take the shot at the prescribed time and dosage.
This injection may weaken your immune system and you may get an infection more easily. See your doctor right away if you have unusual bruising or bleeding, or signs of infection such as fever, weakness, cold or flu symptoms, skin sores, diarrhea, frequent or recurring illness.
Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. Long term use of high dose may cause the following symptoms:

This medication is a corticosteroid, prescribed for arthritis, skin, blood, kidney, eye, thyroid and intestinal disorders, severe allergies and asthma. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.
Triamcinolone replaces a chemical made in the body. It stops or lowers irritation and swelling. It lowers or stops the bodys reaction to the allergen. It lowers the bodys harmful response to diseases of the immune system.
It comes as a tablet and oral liquid to take by mouth, with food. It also comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or muscle.
High blood sugar. This most often goes back to normal when drug is stopped. Chance of getting an infection. Wash hands often. Stay away from people with infections, colds, or flu. Belly pain. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Weight gain. Mood changes. Change in body fat. Weak bones with long-term use. Muscle weakness. Skin changes (pimples, stretch marks, slow healing, hair growth). Cataracts or glaucoma with long-term use.
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.
If you have an allergy to triamcinolone or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have a bad infection.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of infection. These include a fever of 100.5°F (38°C) or higher, chills, very bad sore throat, ear or sinus pain, cough, more sputum or change in color of sputum, pain with passing urine, mouth sores, wound that will not heal, or anal itching or pain. Feeling very tired, weak, or touchy; trembling; having a fast heartbeat, confusion, sweating, or dizziness if you missed a dose or recently stopped this drug. Trouble breathing. A big weight gain. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Sudden change in eyesight. If you have been exposed to chickenpox and have not had chickenpox or had a chickenpox vaccine. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.

Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
