  • Hypersensitivity or allergy to Corabrad 5mg Tab or any of its components

How to Use

Corabrad 5mg Tab can be taken with food. The dose and duration should be followed as prescribed by your doctor. It is best to take this medicine at a fixed time. It is important that this medicine should not be taken more than the recommended dose.

Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip. Do not try to break/crush/chew the tablet.

Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take it at the next scheduled time. Do not take two doses of this medicine at the same time as it can be dangerous to your health.

Since the treatment for angina or heart failure is usually life-long, you should not stop using it without talking to your doctor.  If you take too much in one go, your heart could slow down too much and make you feel breathless or tired. If this happens, call a doctor. This tab should be taken only by the person for whom it has been recommended by a qualified physician.

Overdosage

Signs and symptoms MAY BE NOTED in case of an overdosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions in your body after taking the Corabrad 5mg Tab   contact your doctor immediately. What is Ivabradine for:

This medication is a cardiotonic agent, prescribed for angina pectoris.

How does Ivabradine work:

It helps to lower the heart rate.

How should Ivabradine be used:

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food. Adult: PO- Initial: The recommended dose is 5 mg twice daily. Increase if necessary to 7.5 mg twice daily after 3-4 weeks. It may be reduced upto 2.5-5 mg twice daily if needed.

Common side effects of Ivabradine :

Luminous phenomena (phosphena), blurred vision, bradycardia, 1st degree AV-block, ventricular extrasystole, supraventricular extrasystoles, palpitations, headache, dizziness, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, vertigo, dyspnoea, muscle cramps, hyperuricaemia, eosinophilia, elevated blood-creatinine.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
