Coversyl Plus HD tablet is a combination medicine used to treat hypertension (elevation of blood pressure caused by genetic or environmental factors), stroke and other heart complications. It helps to control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. The medicine works by relaxing the blood vessels and improves blood flow and oxygen in the body, thereby reducing the risk of getting chest pain. Frequent monitoring of electrolytes level and blood pressure is necessary during treatment with this tablet. This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood pressure for best possible effects. The active ingredients of Coversyl Plus HD tablet are Indapamide (2.5MG) and Perindopril (8MG)

Coversyl Plus HD tablet is usually well tolerated when used in the prescribed dosage guidelines. Most side effects are temporary and usually subsides on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. You may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
Take Coversyl Plus HD tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
Coversyl Plus HD should be taken on an empty stomach. The tablet is usually taken not more than once a day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. It is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed as it contains a diuretic and will make you urinate more.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

Alert your doctor if you are taking Coversyl Plus HD tablet with valsartan, aliskiren, baclofen, lithium, K-sparing diuretics, gliptin, insulin, diltiazem, terfenadine, chlorpromazine, cardiac glycosides, quinidine, ciclosporin, rifampicin, dexamethasone, carbamazepine.
Category D: There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
This medication is an oral antihypertensivediuretic, prescribed for hypertension and edema.

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food. Adult: PO- HTN: 1.25-2.5 mg once daily. Edema 2.5 mg once daily, up to 5 mgday after 1 week if needed.

If you have an allergy to indapamide or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have a sulfa (sulfonamide) allergy, talk with your doctor. If you have kidney disease
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of low potassium. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Alert your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines: - medicines for high blood pressure or heart disease, especially digoxin. - a mood medicine known as lithium. - a medicine for transplant or rheumatoid illness known as ciclosporin. - Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Your doctor may give you some potassium tablets while you are being treated with Indapamide. Alternatively, he may ask you to take more potassium-rich food such as bananas, prunes or orange juice.
