How to Use

Take D Veniz 50MG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
The tablet should be taken with food. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body preferably at bedtime.
Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor as it has a potential of becoming habit-forming. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested even though the symptoms disappear after the medicine has begun.

Overdosage

Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the tablet, promptly seek medical attention. Depending on the dosage of D Veniz 50MG tablet, symptoms vary in individuals, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

Kidney:

Caution is advised among people with kidney problems. Dosage adjustment of the medicine may be needed. If you have any renal problems, it is highly recommended that you consult doctor before the consuming the tablet.

Liver:

Caution is advised among people with liver problems. Dose adjustments of the tablet may be needed. If you have any hepatic problems, it is highly recommended that you consult doctor before the consuming this medicine. Any symptoms such as nausea, fever, dark urine etc should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Pregnancy:

This tablet should be used with caution during pregnancy. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

Lactation:

The medicine is likely unsafe to use for nursing mothers. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass into the breastmilk and harm the infant. Consult your doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness, breathing problems or difficulty in breast feeding.

Alcohol:

Consumption of alcohol with this tablet is not recommended as it increases side effects such as seizures, fainting, dizziness, mood and behavioural changes. Any symptoms of abnormal reactions after taking the tablet should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Driving:

The tablet may decrease alertness, cause impaired judgement, affect your vision and make you feel dizzy, light headedness. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

Food:

Grape fruit juice and cranberry juice should be avoided.

Drug Interactions:

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines which includes over-the-counter drugs, herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription. Alert your doctor if you are taking D Veniz 50MG tablet with NSAIDs, warfarin, sertraline, linezolid, lithium, phenothiazines, sumatriptan, amitriptyline, amiodarone, procainamide.

This medication is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRI), prescribed for depression. It increases serotonin and norepinephrine level, which are used to maintain mental balance.

PO- The recommended dose is 50 mg once daily. It comes as an extended release tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Nervous and excitable. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Hard stools (constipation). Drinking more liquids, working out, or adding fiber to your diet may help. Talk with your doctor about a stool softener or laxative. Dry mouth. Good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. See a dentist often. Change in sex ability. This most often goes back to normal. Not able to sleep. Long-acting tablet shell in the stool.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

What precautions should I take when taking Desvenlafaxine :

If you have an allergy to desvenlafaxine or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have taken isocarboxazid, phenelzine, or tranylcypromine in the last 14 days. Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (eg, isocarboxazid, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine) must be stopped 14 days before this drug is started. Taking both at the same time could cause risky high blood pressure. If you are breast-feeding.

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. If you are planning to harm yourself or the want to harm yourself gets worse. Trouble breathing. Chest pain or pressure. Change in thinking clearly and with logic. Big change in balance. Agitation, twitching, sweating, or muscle stiffness. A fast heartbeat. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Any bruising or bleeding. Feeling very tired or weak. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
