Oral- Prophylaxis of blood clot events- 75 mg once daily. Acute coronary syndrome For ST-elevation myocardial infarction: with aspirin: 75 mg once daily. For unstable angina, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction: Initial: 300 mg loading dose, followed by 75 mg once daily (with aspirin 75-325 mg once daily). It comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food.

Alert your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines. Do not take antacids together with Clopidogrel. If you must take antacids, take them at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after you have taken Clopidogrel. Antacids can reduce the effectiveness of Clopidogrel when taken together. Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
