Dynapar SR (Sustained Release) tablet 100mg is designed to release a drug at a predetermined rate in order to maintain a constant drug concentration. This medicine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with antipyretic and analgesic actions used in the treatment of acute and chronic signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredient of Dynapar SR tablet 100mg is Diclofenac 100mg.
Diclofenac acts by inhibiting both leukocyte migration and the enzyme cyclooxygenase (cox-1 and cox-2) leading to the peripheral inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Prostaglandins are the compounds which basically activate pain receptors. Thus, when Diclofenac inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins, the analgesic effect of Diclofenac has been produced.

The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Dynapar SR tablet 100mg. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Swallow Dynapar SR tablet 100mg whole, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip.
Do not break/cut/chew the tablet.
Avoid missing a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Do not swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
Take the Dynapar SR tablet 100mg with or without food.
For adults; Do not exceed more than 3 doses in a day or take it as directed by your physician or pharmacist.
For children; talk to your doctor before giving the tablet.
Avoid using more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:
Take the Dynapar SR tablet only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:
Caution advised among people with renal problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of Dynapar SR tablet.
Caution advised among people with hepatic problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine.
Caution advised in the 1st trimester as well as the last trimester – better to avoid using this medicine during these periods. Human data suggests a risk of embryo-fetal harm.
May be used during pregnancy – no known risk of infant harm based on drug properties and limited human data. However, there is no human data available to evaluate effects on milk production.
Caution always advised when used along with other medicines especially tell your doctor if you start or stop using medicines such as Cyclosporin, Lithium, Methotrexate, Rifampin, Antifungal medicines, Blood thinners, Heart or blood pressure medicines, NSAIDs, steroids and any other forms of Diclofenac.
Category C: Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
This medication is an NSAID, prescribed for severe pain. This medication decreases the hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Diclofenac blocks chemicals that cause pain and swelling.
PO- The recommended dosage is 100-200 mgday in divided doses.Topical- Apply the gel (4 g) to the affected area, 4 times daily. It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food.It also comes as a gel to apply topically.
Headache. Belly pain. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Hard stools (constipation). Drinking more liquids, working out, or adding fiber to your diet may help. Talk with your doctor about a stool softener or laxative. Loose stools (diarrhea). Harm to the liver may rarely happen.
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis
If you have an allergy to diclofenac or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you are more than 24 weeks pregnant.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Chest pain or pressure. Change in strength on 1 side is greater than the other, trouble speaking or thinking, change in balance, or blurred eyesight. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Very bad belly pain. Very bad swelling or pain of hands or feet. A big weight gain. Black, tarry, or bloody stools. Blood in the urine. Very loose stools (diarrhea). Not able to eat. Any bruising or bleeding. Yellow skin or eyes. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Avoid Alcohol
Store it at room temperature and in an airtight container. Keep away from excess heat and moisture.
Category D : There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
