How to Use

How to Use

Eldofen MR Tab can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. The dose and duration should be followed as prescribed by your doctor. It is best to take it at a fixed time. It is important that this medicine should not be taken more than the recommended dose.
Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip. Do not try to break/crush/chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take it at the next scheduled time. Do not take two doses at the same time.
It should be taken only by the person for whom it has been recommended by a qualified physician.

Overdosage

Signs and symptoms MAY BE NOTED in case of an overdosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions in your body after taking Eldofen MR Tab contact your doctor immediately. It is best to avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage of this medicine. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary from individual to individual. Kidney:

Liver:

This medicine may harm the liver and people with liver disease may be at increased risk of developing severe complications. Pregnancy:

Driving:

What is Chlorzoxazone for:

This medication is a muscle relaxant, prescribed for muscle spasm and the resulting pain or discomfort. It is used in combination with physical therapy, Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) (such as aspirin or acetaminophen), and rest.

How does Chlorzoxazone work:

Chlorzoxazone works in the brain to ease pain.

How should Chlorzoxazone be used:

Oral: The recommended initial dose is 500 mg 3-4 timesday. May reduce to 250 mg 3-4 timesday subsequently. Max: 750 mg 3-4 timesday. It comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It usually is taken three or four times a day with food.

Common side effects of Chlorzoxazone :

Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. - If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. - Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis.

What precautions should I take when taking Chlorzoxazone :

If you have an allergy to chlorzoxazone or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have liver disease. If you are breast-feeding.

When do I need to seek medical help

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of low potassium. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Not able to pass urine. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

Can I take Chlorzoxazone with other medicines:

Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
