Encelin 50mg Tab contains Vildagliptin that works in different ways to lower your blood glucose levels and thereby manage type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Encelin 50mg Tab reduces your risk of getting any of the serious complications of diabetes such as heart disease, kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems or loss of limbs. However, the uses mentioned here may not be exhaustive. There may be other reasons or situations in which this medicine might be used.

Composition

The active ingredient of Encelin 50mg Tab is Vildagliptin 50 MG.

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Encelin 50mg Tab works by lowering glucose production in the liver, increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin and delaying glucose absorption from intestines. This tab also does the function of increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels.

Contraindications and Caution

• Kidney impairment
• Lactic acidosis
• Diabetic ketoacidosis

Side and Adverse Effects

Encelin 50mg Tab is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. Most side-effects are usually mild and resolve on their own. How to Use

Encelin 50mg Tab can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. The dose and duration should be followed as prescribed by your doctor. It is best to take this tab at a fixed time. It is important that this medicine should not be taken more than the recommended dose.

Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip. Do not try to break/crush/chew the tablet.

Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take Encelin 50mg Tab as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take it at the next scheduled time. Do not take two doses of this tab at the same time as it can be dangerous to your health.

Bear in mind that it takes a few weeks for the medicine to work so you need to take it regularly even if you feel it is not doing you any good. You must keep taking the medicine until your doctor advises you to stop.

This tab should be taken only by the person for whom it has been recommended by a qualified physician.

Warnings and Precautions

It is best to take Encelin 50mg Tab only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Adjustment of dosage or avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

Kidney:

Safe to use in case of any kidney ailment/disorder? This medicine may make it hard for your kidneys to perform essential tasks like getting rid of waste from the body, keeping your blood pressure steady, making red blood cells. Also, if your kidneys are already damaged, be sure to tell your doctor.

Liver:

Safe to use in case of any liver ailment/disorder? This tab may be unsafe to use by patients with liver ailments. This medicine may harm the liver and people with liver disease may be at increased risk of developing severe complications. Tell your doctor in order to make sure the medicine is helping you and not causing any harm.

Pregnancy:

Safe to use in pregnant women? Encelin 50mg Tab may be unsafe for pregnant women. Although only limited studies have been carried out in humans, studies done on animals have shown harmful effects on the developing baby Encelin 50mg Tab is a powerful medicine and therefore, it should be taken by pregnant women only when recommended by the physician. The doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing this tab.

Lactation:

Safe to use in breastfeeding women? This tab may be unsafe and may lead to serious and adverse side effects if you are breastfeeding. This tablet should not be taken unless your doctor says it is necessary to use during breastfeeding. Studies have shown that a small amount of the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Whether Encelin 50mg Tab may be used or not by a breast-feeding mother should be decided by the doctor.

Alcohol:

Mixing alcohol and medications may increase the risk of adverse reactions or complications, decrease the effectiveness of medications or even render them useless. Interactions of alcohol with drugs may make them harmful or even toxic to the body. Consumption of alcohol is not advisable. Please consult your doctor.

Driving:

Does this medicine make you dizzy/ interfere with your sleep? Most people do not realize that many prescription and over-the-counter medicines can cause drowsiness and impair the ability to drive, thus making driving dangerous for themselves and others. Food:

Interactions between food and drugs may inadvertently reduce or increase the effect of the drug. Some commonly used herbs, fruits or other ingredients may cause failure of the therapy or even cause serious alterations of the patient’s health. Drug Interactions:

Encelin 50mg Tab may interact with Amlodipine, Aripiprazole, Clozapine, Estradiol, Gatifloxacin, Iodinated Contrast Media, Aloe Vera, Dexamethasone, Dopamine, Acetazolamide and Bexarotene.
