      Encorate Chrono 300MG tablet is an anticonvulsant medication that is used to treat all types of epilepsies, a neurological disorder in which there are recurrent episodes of seizures or fits. The tablet can also decrease the symptoms of tiredness, fear or anxiety, difficulty concentrating, feeling irritable, confusion, uncontrollable jerking movements and sleep problems that often come with anxiety disorder. The medicine supresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

      Take Encorate Chrono 300MG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor as it has a potential of becoming habit-forming. Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, take the tablet as soon as remember, however if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and take it according to your normal scheduled time. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.
      Encorate Chrono 300MG tablet may be taken with or without food. Side effects such as sleepiness or drowsiness may be reduced if taken immediately after meals. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain consistent level of medicine in the body.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the tablet, promptly seek medical attention. Depending on the dosage of Encorate Chrono 300MG tab, symptoms vary in individuals, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

      Kidney:

      Caution is advised among people with kidney problems. Close monitoring of kidney function and adjustments of dose of the medicine may be needed based on the clinical condition of the patient. If you have any renal problems, it is highly recommended that you consult doctor before the consumption of this tablet.

      Liver:

      Extreme caution is advised among people with liver problems. Dose adjustments of Encorate Chrono 300MG tablet may be needed. If you have any hepatic problems, it is highly recommended that you consult doctor before the consumption of this medicine. However, use of this medicine is not suggested in patients with severe liver diseases. Any symptoms such as nausea, fever, dark urine etc should be reported to your doctor immediately.

      Pregnancy:

      Encorate Chrono 300MG tablet might be risky to use during pregnancy as it is known to cause harm to the fetus. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine. However, in some life-threatening situations, doctors may rarely prescribe if the benefits are more than the potential risks.

      Lactation:

      The medicine is unsafe to use for nursing mothers. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass into the breastmilk and harm the infant. Consult your doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness, breathing problems or difficulty in breast feeding.

      Alcohol:

      Consumption of alcohol with Encorate Chrono 300MG tablet is not recommended as it increases side effects such as difficulty in concentrating, dizziness, light headedness. Any symptoms of abnormal reactions after taking the tablet should be reported to your doctor immediately.

      Driving:

      The tablet may decrease alertness, cause impaired judgement, affect your vision and make you feel dizzy, light headedness, so do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

      Food:

      Foods containing caffeine, tea, chocolates should be avoided as they stimulate your brain while Encorate Chrono 0.25 Mg calms the brain.

      Drug Interactions:

      Alert your doctor if you are taking Encorate Chrono 300MG tab with any of the below medicines:
      Bupropion

      It is used to stop or control seizures. It is used to stop migraine headaches. It is used to treat manic low mood (depression). It is used to treat problems with how one acts. It is used to help diabetic nerve pain.

      How does Sodium Valproate work:

      Valproic acid and derivatives help clear thinking. It raises a chemical called gamma-aminobutyric in the brain. This chemical calms the brain. It helps steady mood.

      How should Sodium Valproate be used:

      Take as you have been told, even if you are feeling better. Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. Swallow capsule whole. Do not chew, break, or crush. You may sprinkle contents of Depakote® Sprinkle® capsule on soft food or liquid. Do not chew. Take with a full glass of water. There is a liquid (syrup) if you cannot swallow pills. Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given. Do not mix with carbonated drinks.

      Common side effects of Sodium Valproate :

      Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Headache. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Belly pain. Hair loss. Muscle weakness. Twitching. Not able to sleep.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.

      What precautions should I take when taking Sodium Valproate :

      If you have an allergy to valproic acid or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have liver disease. If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. If you are breast-feeding.

      When do I need to seek medical help

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of low mood (depression), thoughts of killing yourself, nervousness, emotional ups and downs, thinking that is not normal, anxiety, or lack of interest in life. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Very bad belly pain. Not able to eat. Big change in balance. Any bruising or bleeding. Dark urine or yellow skin or eyes. Feeling very tired or weak. If seizures are worse or not the same after starting this drug. For women, if you are pregnant or may be pregnant. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

      Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
