      Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek advice from their health care professionals before taking the Escitalopram:

      • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients used in the Exito Tablet such as Escitalopram and Citalopram

      • Hepatic impairment
      • QT prolongation

      • Congenital long QT syndrome

      The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of this Exito Tablet. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

      How to Use

      How to Use

      Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the Exito Tablet immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or chew it.

      Avoid missing/forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which may be dangerous to your health.

      Exito Tablets may be taken with or without food.
      Take the medicine at the prescribed time and dosage.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience any one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

      • Tremor
      • Dizziness
      • Agitation
      • Convulsions
      • Coma
      • Nausea
      • Vomiting
      • Tachycardia
      • Hypotension
      • Arrhythmia
      • QT interval prolongation
      • Hypokalemia
      • Hyponatremia

      Warnings and Precautions

      Take Erito Tablet only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

      Pregnancy:

      Caution advised during pregnancy. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during the treatment.

      Lactation:

      Caution advised if you are a nursing mother. Therefore, do not take the tablet until unless suggested by a doctor.

      Alcohol:

      Drinking alcohol along with this medicine results in severe adverse effects.

      Driving:

      This medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Therefore, do not drive or operate any machinery that needs your attention.

      Drug Interactions:

      to avoid drug-drug interactions, inform your doctor about your current list of medicines (if you use any) during the treatment.

      • Store at room temperature, protect from heat and moisture.

      What is Escitalopram for:

      This medication is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class, prescribed for major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, or panic disorder(significant behavioral change). It increases the amount of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain that helps maintain mental balance.

      How does Escitalopram work:

      How should Escitalopram be used:

      Oral- DepressionObsessive compulsive disorder(persistent obsessions or compulsions), AnxietyPanic disorder(significant behavioral change)- Adult: 10 mg once daily, increased if necessary. Max: 20 mg daily. Elderly: Half the adult dose. Liver impairment: Dosage adjustments may be required. It comes as a tablet and a solution (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food.

      Common side effects of Escitalopram :

      Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Headache. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Dry mouth. Good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. See a dentist often. Change in sex ability. This most often goes back to normal. Not able to sleep.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses

      What precautions should I take when taking Escitalopram :

      If you have an allergy to escitalopram or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have taken isocarboxazid, phenelzine, or tranylcypromine in the last 14 days. Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (eg, isocarboxazid, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine) must be stopped 14 days before this drug is started. Taking both at the same time could cause risky high blood pressure. If you are breast-feeding.

      When do I need to seek medical help

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. If you are planning to harm yourself or the want to harm yourself gets worse. Change in thinking clearly and with logic. Big change in balance. Agitation, twitching, sweating, or muscle stiffness. Very nervous and excitable. A fast heartbeat. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Any bruising or bleeding. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

      Can I take Escitalopram with other medicines:

      Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
