      Uses and Benefits

      Exito Plus Tablet is a combination of two drugs which is used to treat generalized anxiety disorder and major depressive disorders. In addition to this, it is also used in the treatment of myoclonic seizures, panic disorders, etc. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.



      The active ingredients of Exito Plus Tablet are Escitalopram 10mg and Clonazepam 0.5mg.

      Escitalopram acts by balancing the neurotransmittor serotonin levels in the body – helps in lightening the mood, digestion, sleep, memory, behavior, and in keeping away from panic disorders.

      Clonazepam is an anticonvulsant drug which reduces seizures and is also an antiepileptic drug which reduces the abnormal electrical activity in the brain by calming the brain and nerves.

      Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek advice from their health care professional before taking this medicine:

      • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients used in the Exito Plus Tablet such as Escitalopram and Clonazepam
      • Hepatic impairment, severe
      • Avoid abrupt withdrawal (long term use)

      The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Exito Plus Tablet. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

      How to Use

      How to Use

      Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.
      Swallow the Exito Plus Tablet whole immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break / chew / cut the Exito Plus Tablet.

      Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which may be dangerous to your health.
      Exito Plus Tablet may be taken either with or without food.

      Take the medicine at the prescribed time and dosage.


      Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

      • Drowsiness
      • Sleepiness
      • High or low blood pressure
      • Vomiting
      • Agitation / tremor
      • Tachy or bradycardia
      • Dilated pupils
      • Rarely or temporary paralysis
      • Weakness of muscles
      • Convulsions or coma
      • Fainting

      Take the Exito Plus Tablet only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:


      Caution advised among people with renal problems. If you have any, it is highly recommended that you inform your doctor before the consumption of this Exito Plus Tablet.


      Caution advised among people with hepatic problems. If you have any, it is highly recommended that you inform your doctor before the consumption of this Exito Plus Tablet.


      Do not take this medicine during pregnancy or if you are planning to get pregnant because risk of fetal harm expected based on the research.


      Do not take this medicine if you are a nursing mother because it is not known whether it may harm a breastfeeding infant or not.


      Consuming alcohol during the consumption period of Exito Plus Tablet may increase your side effects. Therefore do not club both the consumptions.


      Since consuming this medicine would induce sleep/cause dizziness, or it may impair your thinking or reactions. do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention/physical strength.

      Drug Interactions:

      Caution advised when used with other medicines. Therefore, Inform your doctor about your current list of medicines during the treatment, if you use any.

      • Keep Exito Plus Tablet out of sight and reach of children.
      • Keep it in a cool and hygienic place, away from heat and moisture.
      • Do not use Exito Plus Tablet beyond its expiry date.

      What is Clonazepam for:

      This medication is an anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, prescribed for Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, panic disorder and seizures. It decreases abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

      How does Clonazepam work:

      Clonazepam calms the brain.

      How should Clonazepam be used:

      Seizure Disorders- Adults: The initial dose should not exceed 1.5 mgday divided into three doses. It may be increased if needed. Pediatric Patients: The initial dose should be between 0.01 and 0.03 mgkgday but not to exceed 0.05 mgkgday given in two or three divided doses. Panic Disorder- Adults: The initial is 0.25 mg two times per day. It may be increased if needed. It comes as a tablet to take by mouth as directed by your physician.

      Common side effects of Clonazepam :

      Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Dry mouth. Good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. See a dentist often. Feeling tired or weak. Change in balance

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. - If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. - Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. - Do not change the dose or stop this drug. - Talk with the doctor.

      What precautions should I take when taking Clonazepam :

      Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or if you become pregnant while being treated with Clonazepam. Use an appropriate birth control method while being treated with Clonazepam. You may wish to discuss birth control options with your doctor. - Alert your doctor if you are breastfeeding. Do not breastfeed while being treated with Clonazepam. - Alert your doctor if you have an eye disease known as glaucoma, liver disease or myasthenia gravis.

      When do I need to seek medical help

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of low mood (depression), thoughts of killing yourself, nervousness, emotional ups and downs, thinking that is not normal, anxiety, or lack of interest in life. Big change in balance. Change in thinking clearly and with logic. Feeling very tired or weak. If seizures are worse or not the same after starting this drug. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

      Can I take Clonazepam with other medicines:

      Alert your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, especially those listed here: - gastric medicine such as cimetidine - asthma medicine such as theophylline. - antifungals or antibiotics such as doxycycline, erythromycin, itraconazole - birth control pills - other epilepsy medicines. - sleeping pills. - heart or blood pressure medicines such as verapamil. - other medicines such as buprenorphine, disulfiram. Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
