Ferowyn XT tablet is an anti-anaemic medication used in the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia and anaemia due to chronic kidney disease. The medicine regulates your levels of red blood cells and reduce the symptoms of anaemia such as weakness and tiredness and also helps in the transportation of oxygen throughout the body. This tablet is also used to treat anaemia during pregnancy and lactation. It is used in treating iron deficiency due to poor absorption of iron from the foods and chronic blood loss. It. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredients of Ferowyn XT tablet are Elemental iron (100Mg) and Folic acid (1.5Mg)
Elemental iron replenishes the iron stores in the body and plays an important role in the formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin. Folic acid help in lowering elevated homocysteine levels linked to pregnancy complications and also plays a key role in helping the body make red blood cells, thus helps in treating anaemias.
