Uses and Benefits

Fiasp Flex Touch Pen 100IU 3ml Injection is used to treat diabetes mellitus. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.

Composition

The active ingredient of Fiasp Flex Touch 100 IU 3ml Injection is Insulin Aspart 100 IU.

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Insulin acts by reducing the blood sugar levels and this drug starts working within 15min after injection and shows its effect for 2 to 4 hours. Thus how improves blood sugar control in people with Diabetes Mellitus.

Contraindications and Caution

• Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients used in the Fiasp Flex Touch Pen 100 IU 3ml Injection such as Insulin Aspart
• Hypoglycemia

• Caution:
• Infection, illness or stress
• Hypokalemia
• Renal impairment
• Hepatic impairment
• Visual impairment
• Localised cutaneous amyloidosis

Side and Adverse Effects

The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of this Fiasp Flex Touch Pen 100 IU 3ml Injection. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

• Hypoglycemia
• Injection site reaction
• Injection site lipodystrophy
• Myalgia
• Pruritus
• Rash
• URI
• Weight gain
• Headache
• Edema, peripheral
• Hypersensitivity reaction
• Influenza

Rare but more serious adverse effects may include:

• Hypoglycemia
• Hypokalemia
• Hypersensitivity reaction
• Anaphylaxis

How to Use

To start the process, prepare your pen with a new needle. Turn the dose counter and adjust your dose that is recommended by your doctor, check for any air bubbles before injecting the solution to allow easy flow. Now, inject the needle into the skin then press and hold the dose button and count 6 numbers. Then remove the needle from the skin. If any blood appears at the site of injection, press lightly but do not rub the area. Lastly, unscrew the needle and dispose of it. Recap the pen.

Warnings and Precautions

Take the Fiasp Flex Touch Pen 100 IU 3ml Injection only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

Kidney:

Caution advised among people with renal problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before using this Fiasp Flex Touch Pen 100 IU 3ml Injection.

Liver:

Caution advised among people with hepatic problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before using this Fiasp Flex Touch Pen 100 IU 3ml Injection.

Pregnancy:

May be used during pregnancy. However, use the medicine only if suggested by your physician.

Lactation:

May be used during breastfeeding. Risk of infant harm not expected based on human data and drug properties. However, there are chances of delayed milk production based on conflicting human data.

Drug Interactions:

Caution always advised when used with other medicines. Therefore, inform your doctor about your current list of medicine(s) (if any) during the treatment.

Category B: Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
