Floricot 100MCG tablet is a mineralocorticoid used for the treatment of Addison’s disease (a condition where the adrenal gland does not produce enough natural steroid hormones) and other salt-losing forms of congenital adrenogenital syndrome, a group of inherited disorders that limits the hormone production of the adrenal gland. It is not recommended foe use in patients below 18 years of age. However, the uses mentioned are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

How to Use

How to Use

Take Floricot 100MCG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
The tablet should be taken with food. The tablet is usually taken not more than once a day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

Overdosage

Avoid taking more than the recommended dosage. In case of accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage of Floricot 100MCG tablet, symptoms vary in individuals, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

Liver:

Caution is advised among patients with liver problems. However, this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy:

It is not considered safe to use in pregnant women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

Lactation:

The medicine is likely unsafe to use for nursing mothers. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass into the breastmilk and harm the infant. Consult your doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness, breathing problems or difficulty in breast feeding.

Alcohol:
