Fosidal 8GM sachet contains Fosfomycin, which belongs to group of medicines known as antibiotics. It is used to treat acute cystitis (uncomplicated urinary tract infections) in women caused by susceptible bacteria. Fosfomycin is an antibiotic that works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria by interfering with the bacterial cell wall synthesis. It reduces bacterial attachment to cells lining the bladder and treats or prevents uncomplicated infections of the bladder.
