It is a diuretic and gets rid of unnecessary salt and water from the body.
How should Chlorthalidone be used:
It comes as a tablet, usually taken once a day or once in two days. It is best to take the medicine in the morning to avoid going to bathroom at night. Take it exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less of it. It controls high blood pressure but does not cure it. Continue to take it even if you feel well unless instructed by your doctor.
Common side effects of Chlorthalidone :
Muscle weakness, dizziness, cramps, thirst, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. - If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. - Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis.

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of low potassium. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Not able to pass urine. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

This medication is angiotensin receptor blocker (ARBs), prescribed for hypertension. It works by relaxing blood vessels.
How does Telmisartan work:
Telmisartan lowers blood pressure by lowering a strong chemical in the body.
How should Telmisartan be used:
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. Hypertension- Adults- Oral: Initial: 40 mg once daily. Max: 80 mgday.
Cardio Vascular risk reduction- Adults- Oral: 80 mg once per day.
Common side effects of Telmisartan :
Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Cough. Belly pain. High potassium level. Signs include feeling weak, lightheaded, dizzy, feel like passing out, or have numbness or tingling. Kidney function that gets worse.
