Geomax D3 capsule, a supplement of multimineral, multivitamin and antioxidants help to improve your overall health. Vitamins and minerals present in this capsule replenish the nutrient reserves of the body which aid within the proper functioning of the cells, tissues, heart, gut, nervous system, blood formation. The medicine improves blood circulation and oxygen saturation and supply sufficient amount of nutrients to the organs and tissues. The presence of natural antioxidants in the capsule combats stress, fatigue, weakness and exhaustion, retards degenerative processes of ageing and improve body’s resistance to infections. Geomax D3 capsule contains essential minerals, vitamins and amino acids that work together to help build a stronger immune system and also maintain heart health. This formulation has antioxidant properties that help in maintaining healthy body and also help the physical body respond better against invading infections by neutralizing the damage caused by harmful chemicals called free radicals. It contains calcium supplements that regenerates and maintains mechanical properties of the cartilage and provide strength in load bearing bones, thereby improving flexibility in joints. Folic acid and methyl cobalamin help in lowering elevated homocysteine levels and also plays a key role in helping the body make red blood cells. Docosahexaenoic acid and Eicosapentaenoic acid inhibit platelet aggregation and oxidation of LDL, decreases cholesterol and triglyceride levels and decreases the synthesis of inflammatory markers such as prostaglandins and plays a vital role in reducing heart and circulatory disease risks.

How to Use

Take Geomax D3 capsule as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
This capsule can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it could be taken with food. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor.

Overdosage

Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. Overdose can lead to hypercalcaemia; extreme hypercalcaemia may lead to coma and death. Irreversible renal damage and soft tissue calcification may occur as a result of prolonged hypercalcaemia in some patients. Kidney:

Drug Interactions:

Alert your doctor if you are taking Geomax D3 capsule with anticoagulants such as warfarin, thyroid medications, asthma medications (cetirizine, azelastine), cholesterol lowering drugs, NSAIDs: Aspirin, Clopidogrel, tetracyclines, carbamazepine, thiazide diuretics decreases urinary excretion of calcium, antacids containing aluminium salts, nelfinavir.

What is calcitriol for:

This medication is a synthetic vitamin D analog, prescribed for hypocalcemia in patients undergoing chronic renal dialysis. It helps proper absorption and use of calcium and phosphate in the body.

How does calcitriol work:

It works by helping the body to use more of the calcium found in foods and supplements.

How should calcitriol be used:

PO- The recommended initial dose is 1 mcg (0.02 mcgkg) to 2 mcg administered three times weekly, approximately every other day. It comes as a tablet and capsule to take by mouth, with or without food.

Common side effects of calcitriol :

Dry mouth, muscle pain, increased thirst, loss of appetite, vomiting, metallic taste, upset stomach, constipation, difficult urination.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

What precautions should I take when taking calcitriol :

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Some drugs like phenytoin, phenobarbital, prednisone and some laxatives may affect the availability. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, pregnant, or planning to have surgery including dental procedures.

This drug will only work if you get the right amount of calcium from your diet. If you are being treated with dialysis, your doctor may also prescribe a low phosphate diet. If you have kidney disease, talk to your doctor about how much fluid you should drink each day.
