Halonova S 15GM ointment is a combination medicine used to treat skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. The active ingredients of Halonova S 15GM ointment are Halobetasol propionate (0.05% W/W) and Salicylic acid (3 % W/W)
It is a combination medicine, used to treat psoriasis and eczema. Halobetasol propionate is a steroid which works by blocking the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that cause pain and make red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic acid acts a keratolytic agent and achieves a slow, painless destruction of warts (thickened upper layer of skin) and shedding the scales which are bound by it. It breaks keratin lumps, removes dead cells and softens the skin.
