      Composition

The active ingredients of Ibugesic ASP tablet are Aceclofenac 100mg, Serratiopeptidase 15mg, and Paracetamol (also known as Acetaminophen) 325mg.

      Mechanism of Action of Drugs

      Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Aceclofenac is a derivative of phenylacetic acid that withholds the participation of Cyclooxygenase compound. Cyclooxygenase is an enzyme that is responsible for the formation of prostanoids including thromboxane and prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are compounds responsible for causing pain, fever, swelling, and redness. Thus with this mechanism, pain causing factors are eliminated.

On the other hand, Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme obtained from the silkworm. It is a drug that helps to heal wounds quickly. It does so, by thinning the fluids formed during injury and allowing the drainage of this fluid conveniently. It also dissolves the fibrin and other dead or damaged tissue without harming the living tissue.

Finally, Paracetamol (or Acetaminophen) primarily acts as an analgesic and an antipyretic agent. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties. It produces its analgesic effects by increasing the pain threshold and antipyresis by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.
