      Ibugesic Plus syrup 100ml is usually prescribed to treat fever, mild to moderate pains such as headache, body pains, toothache and also to treat common cold or flu. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctors discretion.



      The active ingredients of Ibugesic Plus syrup 100ml are Ibuprofen 100mg and Paracetamol 162.5mg/5ml.

      Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug which acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins which are responsible for the inflammation, pain, and fever.

      Paracetamol (or Acetaminophen) primarily acts as an analgesic and an antipyretic agent. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties. It produces its analgesic effects by increasing the pain threshold and antipyresis by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.

      Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek advice from their health care professionals before taking the syrup:

      • Hypersensitive to any of the ingredients used in the Ibugesic Plus Syrup 100ml such as Ibuprofen and Paracetamol (Acetaminophen)

      The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Ibugesic Plus syrup 100ml. It is generally well tolerated when taken in prescribed dosage guidelines. Common ones are generally mild and may include:

      • Nausea
      • Vomiting
      • Gastric problems
      • Tinnitus
      • Skin rash
      • Constipation

      Rare but more serious adverse effects may include:

      • Anemia
      • Cardiac arrest
      • Heart burn
      • Abdominal discomfort

      How to Use

      How to Use

      Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor, or the directions given on the bottle or container.
      Ibugesic Plus syrup 100ml is a medicine meant for oral administration. Shake the bottle well before consuming. Dosage can be administered with the cap that comes along with the syrup container.
      Avoid missing a dose. If you do forget, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to the normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which is dangerous to health.
      Take the Ibugesic Plus syrup 100ml after food.
      For children: 1 dose 3 times in a day or as directed by your physician or see the instructions written on the prescription.


      Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, seek prompt medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

      • Severe chest pain
      • Severe headache
      • Difficulty in breathing
      • Extreme agitation
      • Increased or decreased blood temperature
      • Abnormal breathing
      • Fast or slow pulse
      • Skin rash or discoloration

      Take the syrup only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

      Kidney: Caution advised among people with renal problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine.

      Liver: Caution advised among people with hepatic problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine.

      Pregnancy: Ibugesic Plus syrup 100ml is not safe for pregnant women; however you could take the advice of the doctor before using the syrup (when benefits overweigh risks, the medicine can be considered for consumption)

      Lactation: The syrup does not induce any toxicity to the baby through breast milk but it is better to seek medical advice before consumption.

      Alcohol: It is unsafe to take this medicine with alcohol as there could be side effects like dizziness, gastritis, weakness, and fatigue. Most importantly, the risk of liver damage is increased.

      Drug Interactions: Increased risk of gastrointestinal ulceration, Perforation or hemorrhage with other NSAIDs.

      • Keep this medication out of reach and sight of children.
      • Keep it in a cool and dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
      • Accurately measure the correct dose, do not administer for more than 48
      • hours without doctors advice.
      • Do not use Ibugesic Plus Syrup 100ml beyond its expiry.

      What is Ibuprofen for:

      This medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), prescribed for mild to moderate pain, inflammation and fever.

      How does Ibuprofen work:

      This medication decreases the hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body.

      How should Ibuprofen be used:

      It comes as a capsule and tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. PO- The recommended dose range is 200 to 600mg 4-6 hourly. Max: 1.2 gday.

      Common side effects of Ibuprofen :

      Belly pain. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Hard stools (constipation). Drinking more liquids, working out, or adding fiber to your diet may help. Talk with your doctor about a stool softener or laxative.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis.

      What precautions should I take when taking Ibuprofen :

      If you have an allergy to ibuprofen, aspirin, NSAIDS, or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you are more than 24 weeks pregnant.

      When do I need to seek medical help

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Chest pain or pressure. Change in strength on 1 side is greater than the other, trouble speaking or thinking, change in balance, or blurred eyesight. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Very bad belly pain. Very bad swelling or pain of hands or feet. A big weight gain. Sudden change in eyesight, eye pain, or irritation. Black, tarry, or bloody stools. Blood in the urine. Very loose stools (diarrhea). Any bruising or bleeding. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

      Can I take Ibuprofen with other medicines:

      Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
