Letroz Tab can also be used in patients with advanced breast cancer to arrest the growth of the tumor from spreading to other parts of the body. However, the uses mentioned here may not be exhaustive. There may be other reasons or situations in which this medicine might be used.

      Letroz Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor which works by reducing the amount of estrogen produced in the body. This results in the slow down or complete arrest of the growth of some breast cancers. This is also useful in cases of infertility whereby it encourages the release of certain hormones to stimulate the release of eggs from the ovaries.

      This medication is an aromatase inhibitor, prescribed for breast cancer either alone or in combination with other medications.

      How should Letrozole be used:

      Take this drug at the same time of day. Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. This drug works best when used with calciumvitamin D and weight-bearing workouts like walking or PT (physical therapy). Follow the diet and workout plan that your doctor told you about.

      Common side effects of Letrozole :

      Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Feeling tired or weak. Flushing. Wearing layers of clothes or summer clothes and staying in cool places may help. Headache. Upset stomach or throwing up.       What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
