Uses and Benefits

Limore Tablet is usually prescribed in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic urticaria. The signs and symptoms include runny / stuffy nose, red, itchy, and watery eyes, sneezing, and swelling around the eyes. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.

Composition

The active ingredient of Limore Tablet is cetrizine 10mg.

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Cetirizine acts by blocking histamines which are produced in the body during allergic reactions. Thus by inhibiting these histamines, allergic reactions are controlled or reduced.

Contraindications and Caution

Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek advice from their health care professional before taking the Limore Tablet:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the components used in the Limore Tablet such as cetirizine and hydroxzine
• End stage renal disease/undergoing haemodialysis

• Caution:
• Concurrent CNS depressant use
• Alcohol use
• Urinary retention risk
• Prostatic hypertrophy
• Spinal cord injury
• Hepatic impairment
• Renal impairment

Side and Adverse Effects

The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Limore Tablet. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

• DrowsineSS
• Fatigue
• Abdominal pain
• Headache
• Dry mucous membrane
• Diarrhea
• Pharyngitis
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Vomiting

Rare but more serious adverse effects may include:

• Bronchospasm
• Anaphylaxis/anaphylactoid reaction
• Hypersensitivity reaction
• Hepatotoxicity
• Cholestasis
• Seizures
• Anemia, hemolytic
• Thrombocytopenia
• Syncope
• Hypotension, severe

How to Use

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the Limore Tablet immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break/crush/chew it.

Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which may be dangerous to your health.

Take the Limore Tablet with or without food.
Take the medicine at the prescribed time and dosage.

Warnings and Precautions

Take Limore Tablet only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

Kidney:

Caution advised among people with renal problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of Limore Tablet.

Liver:

Caution advised among people with hepatic problems. If you have any, consult your doctor before the consumption of Limore Tablet.

Pregnancy:

Safety during pregnancy is unknwon. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the treatment.

Lactation:

Safety during lactation is unknown. Therefore, take the advice of your doctor if you are a nursing mother.

Food:

Decreased rate of absorption when taken with food; enhanced CNS depressant effect with alcohol.

Drug Interactions:

Exercise caution when used with other medication. Especially, if you are on CNS depressants such as sedatives and tranquilizers. Therefore, inform your doctor about your current list of medicine(s) (if any) during the treatment.
