      Lotel 5ML eye gel is a steroid medicine mainly used for the treatment of post-operative inflammation and pain associated with eye surgeries. It is also used for treatment of pain and inflammation conditions which may be caused by infection, allergies and other conditions. It is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

      Lotel 5ML eye gel is usually well tolerated when used in the recommended dosage guidelines. Most side effects are temporary and usually subsides on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. You may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

      How to Use

      Apply Lotel 5ML eye gel as instructed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor. Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, apply the gel as soon as remember, however if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and use it according to your normal scheduled time.
      Check the label for directions before use of this medicine. Take the tube close to your eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine in the affected eye inside the lower eyelid. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them prior to administration and reinsert after at least 15 minutes. Wipe off any excess gel. Apply the gel thrice a day.
      Continue to use this medicine until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dose. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after using the gel, promptly seek medical attention. An overdose is extremely unlikely with this Hicool PF eye gel since it is only for external use. Internal consumption of medicine leads to harmful side effects.

      Kidney:

      Liver:

      Since there is not enough reliable information about the safety of using this eye gel in hepatic patients, consult your doctor if you have liver problems and stay on the safe side.

      Pregnancy:

      This gel is not considered safe to use in pregnant women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.       Lactation:

      Alcohol:

      Interaction of alcohol with this medicine is unknown. Any symptoms of abnormal reactions after taking the medicine should be reported to your doctor immediately.

      Driving:

      How does Loteprednol Etabonate work:

      Losartan lowers blood pressure by lowering a strong chemical in the body. It helps kidney function in patients with high blood sugar (diabetes).

      How should Loteprednol Etabonate be used:

      Take as you have been told, even if you are feeling better. Take this drug at the same time of day. Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. There is a liquid (suspension) if you cannot swallow pills. Shake well before use. Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given. Follow the diet and workout plan that your doctor told you about.

      Common side effects of Loteprednol Etabonate :

      Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. High potassium level. Signs include feeling weak, lightheaded, dizzy, feel like passing out, or have numbness or tingling. Loose stools (diarrhea). Cough. Kidney function that gets worse.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.

      If you have an allergy to losartan or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have a block in the kidneys arteries. • If you have high blood sugar (diabetes) and are taking aliskiren. If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. If you are breast-feeding.

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very bad headache. Cough that does not go away. Too much sweat, fluid loss, throwing up, or loose stools. May lead to low blood pressure. Signs of high potassium. For women, if you get pregnant while taking this drug. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
