      Lupiclor 6.25Mg tablet is a long-acting diuretic or water pill used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat hypertension (caused by genetic or environmental factors), oedema (swelling in hands, feet and ankles associated with cirrhosis of liver, renal diseases). It is also used in treating congestive heart failure characterised by the decrease in the blood flow to the body parts. The tablet prevents your body from absorbing too much salt and allows it to be removed through urine and prevents swelling in the body. Frequent monitoring of electrolyte levels and blood pressure is necessary while taking this medicine. However, the uses mentioned are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

It also decreases the strains on blood vessels and heart, thereby decreasing high blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attacks, stroke and kidney problems.

      How to Use

      Take Lupiclor 6.25Mg tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
      Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
      The tablet should be taken with food. If significant stomach upset occurs, you could take it with food. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. It is best to take this medicine in the morning or before four hours of going to bed as it contains a diuretic and will make you urinate frequently.
      Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking more than the recommended dosage. In case of accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage of Lupiclor 6.25Mg tablet, symptoms vary in individuals, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

      • Nausea
      • Cardiac arrhythmias
      • Electrolyte disturbances
      • Hypotension
      • Dizziness
      • Muscle spasm
      • Administer fluid and electrolyte replacement as required for extensive fluid loss.

      Kidney:

      Liver:

      Pregnancy:

      Use of this tablet is not advised unless the clinical condition of the patient requires treatment. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown effects low or no effects on the developing baby.       Lactation:

      This medicine is not considered safe to use in nursing mothers unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Since the effect of the medicine on infants is not clearly established, we recommend that you to consult your doctor before consuming the tablet.

      Alcohol:

      Consumption of alcohol with this tablet is not recommended as it increases side effects such as difficulty in concentration, dizziness, light headedness. Any symptoms of abnormal reactions after taking the medicine should be reported to your doctor immediately.

      Driving:

      The tablet may decrease alertness, cause impaired judgement, affect your vision and make you feel dizzy, light headedness. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Not able to pass urine. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
