      Apply the solution daily at the same time for 3-4 months or as advised by your doctor to see the hair growth. Do not shampoo your hair for 4 hours after using this solution or use a hairdryer to dry your hair. Avoid getting this solution in contact with open wounds, eyes, mouth and nose. This topic solution is recommended for use in men only.

      What is Minoxidil for:

      This medication is a vasodilator, prescribed for hypertension. It relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

      How does Minoxidil work:

      Minoxidil calms blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

      How should Minoxidil be used:

      It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. Adult- The recommended initial dose is 5 mgday as a single dose. Maximum: 100mgday. Child- The initial dosage is 0.2 mgkgday as a single dose.

      Common side effects of Minoxidil :

      Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Hair growth. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

      If you have an allergy to minoxidil or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had.
