Montovent LC Tab is also used to treat the symptoms of Asthma. However, the uses mentioned here may not be exhaustive. There may be other reasons or situations in which this medicine might be used.

The ingredient levocetirizine is a very effective antiallergic medication which is used to treat allergy symptoms such as rashes, itching, swelling, by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger known as histamine in the body. Montelukast is the other powerful ingredient in this tab which works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger.

How to Use

How to Use

Montovent LC Tab can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. The dose and duration should be followed as prescribed by your doctor. It is best to take it at a fixed time. It is important that this medicine should not be taken more than the recommended dose.
Swallow it whole with water, immediately after opening the Tab from the strip. Do not try to break/crush/chew the medicine.
Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take it at the next scheduled time. Do not take two doses at the same time as it can be dangerous to your health.
This medication should be taken only by the person for whom it has been recommended by a qualified physician.

Overdosage

Signs and symptoms MAY BE NOTED in case of an overdosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions in your body after taking Montovent LC Tab, contact your doctor immediately. Kidney:

Liver:

safe to use in case of any liver ailment/disorder? Montovent LC Tab is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease. There might be mild/adverse side-effects on patients with liver ailments. Pregnancy:

Lactation:

safe to use in breastfeeding women? This tab may be unsafe if you are breastfeeding. This medicine should not be taken unless your doctor says it is necessary to use during breastfeeding. Alcohol:

Do not start this product on your own. Please consult your doctor.

What is Levocetirizine for:

This medication is an antihistamine, prescribed for allergic conditions.

How should Levocetirizine be used:

It comes as a tablet, syrup to take by mouth with or without food. Adult: Oral- 2.5-5 mgday in the evening. Max: 5 mgday.

Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Dry mouth. Good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. See a dentist often.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

What precautions should I take when taking Levocetirizine :

Do not give to a child who has kidney disease. If you have an allergy to levocetirizine, cetirizine, or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have very bad kidney disease. If you are breast-feeding.

When do I need to seek medical help

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Feeling very tired or weak. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

Can I take Levocetirizine with other medicines:

Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
