Monurol Sachet 3gm is used to treat acute uncomplicated urinary tract infections and severe infections. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a docto’s discretion.
The active ingredient of Monurol Sachet 3gm is Fosfomycin 3gm.
Monurol acts by inhibiting the initial stage of intracellular bacterial cell wall synthesis. Thereby kills the bacteria and exhibits its bactericidal activity.

Dissolve 1 Monurol sachet in a glass of water or any nonalcoholic drink.
Avoid missing/forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which may be dangerous to your health
Take the Monurol solution on an empty stomach.
Avoid using more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience any one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

May be used during pregnancy, no known risk of fetal harm based on limited human data. However, consider taking the monurol sachet only if suggested by your physician.
May be used while breastfeeding, human data is not available. However the risk of infant harm not expected based on drug properties.
