Benefits: Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg is a combination medicine used to treat infections of the ear, nose, throat, genitourinary tract, and skin. This Tablet is also used for the treatment of acute uncomplicated gonorrhea caused by the bacteria neisseria gonorrhea. Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg may also be used to treat sinusitis, acute bacterial infection, urinary tract infection, and otitis media acute. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredient of Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg is Amoxicillin 250mg.
Amoxicillin acts by showing bactericidal activity therefore, kills the bacteria and inhibits cell wall mucopeptidase synthesis.

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the Tablet whole, immediately after opening the Tablet from the strip. Do not break/cut/chew the Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg.
Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg may be taken with food.
Take the dosage as directed by your doctor at the prescribed time and dosage.
Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

This tablet may be used during pregnancy, no known risk of fetal harm based on animal data. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant during treatment.
Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg can pass through breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use without informing your doctor or a pharmacist.
Interaction of alcohol with this medicine is unknown, please consult your doctor before consumption.
Since consuming this medicine would cause severe allergic reactions or convulsions, do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention/physical strength.
Avoid taking warfarin along with Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg as this may increase the risk of bleeding when both drugs combined together.
The therapeutic efficacy of anthrax vaccine will get reduced when used along with Moxikind DIS Tablet 250mg.
Category B: Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
Amoxicillin is used to stop or treat certain bacterial infections, such as infections of the ears, nose, throat, urinary tract and skin.
It is a penicillin like antibiotic and works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses. Use as you have been told, even if you are feeling better. Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. Chewable tablet: Chew or crush well. Mix crushed tablet with food. Do not swallow it whole. Extended release tablet: Take with food. Swallow tablet whole. Do not chew, crush, or break. Tablet for suspension: Mix the tablet in 2 teaspoons (10 mL) of water. Do not chew or swallow the tablet whole. There is a liquid (suspension) if you cannot swallow pills. Shake well before use. Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given. You may crush the tablet, melt it in water, and mix it with chocolate milk, milk, or pudding.
Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help. You may get these products at health food stores or in some pharmacies. For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge.
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. - If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. - Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. - Do not change the dose or stop this drug. - Talk with the doctor.
If you have an allergy to amoxicillin, any penicillin, or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Very loose stools (diarrhea), even after drug is stopped. Any bruising or bleeding. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Avoid Alcohol
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
